Definition:

Special tools of the Lean Production tools are being used to solve special operating problems faster through a workshop.

The following workshops are available:

  • Kanban-Workshop
  • QCO/SMED-Workshop
  • Value Stream Map-Workshop
  • Total Productive Maintenance-Workshop
  • Poka Yoke-Workshop
  • 5S-Workshop
  • Standardized Work-Workshop
  • Waste Walk-Workshop

 


Procedure

Procedure: generally the workshops proceed using the following scheme:

  1. Short current-state analysis (reference-/pilot area)
  2. Team composition out of different functions
  3. Basic training Go, look and see in the production area
  4. Definition of measures
  5. Installation of the specific key metric
  6. Control effectiveness
  7. Celebrate success and communication
  8. Roll-out to different departments
Result

the operating problem, e. g. too high stocks or long set-up times are systematically cut down through a medium-term installed CIP-process. Metrics are improved.
