Brief Description

Qualifiying the executive project manager (Lean Advisor, Lean Coordinator, Lean Champion, Lean Production Officer, Lean Director):

LEAN ADVISOR TRAINING (WITH CERTIFICATION)

Targets

1. Elimination of waste has to be organized in the daily business:

Many lean projects fail. Still it is very difficult to implement the lean tools as part of the daily business. The organized elimination of any kind of waste requires a clear management commitment. It is a central management task to integrate lean tools as ongoing part of team based  improvement activities. During this workshop you will be trained how-to organize lean tools as integral part of daily business.

2. Lean is a DMAIC Process:

„Next problem – next project/tool“ is still an observable behavior in many companies. Management is a firefighting department. The issue is that lean tools have not been implemented as continuous processes. The actual problem solving method is not following the basic idea of ongoing continuous improvement process. Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control is not implemented successfully. In this course you will be trained how-to achieve a sustainable and objective-driven improvement process.

3. Solid, deep Qualification:

“Managers believe that lean is simple” what is right but successful lean does not happen by accident. Whereas the lean tools are very easy to understand and to implement it is very difficult to achieve a cultural change. A successful lean implementation requires the right lean tools, the right lean processes, the right lean metrics and the right lean organization applied in operations. Changing people’s attitude is very difficult. In this course you will understand the key criteria for success for successful lean implementations. Change management is an integral part hereof. A lean system approach is required to combine tools with organizational management.

4. Independence of "Lean Gurus":

Lean implementation expertise is crucial for lean success. Qualified experts are present to describe the nuts and bolts of a Toyota production system. Industrial speakers are integrated to share their knowledge with you. In this course you will obtain a comprehensive manual and guideline (ca. 800 pages) of an overall lean system. Successful industrial best practices are shown in order to make you independent of “Lean Gurus”.

5. Practice, Practice, Practice:

“Lean is practice”. During the workshop the participants obtain a deep insight in the industrial lean practice. Lean simulations and games make lean a tangible “stuff”. Lean concepts are explained by the means of just in time (JIT) simulations, Kanban simulations, SMED exercises, standard work exercises and team activities. In this course you will get a deep insight in lean success stories of the best companies and learn how-to apply these for your own company.

Further result is also a European Network of Lean professionals („Certified Lean Advisor“); the communication of best practices is facilitated over a best practice data base to exchange professional lean implementation Know-How. Social events encourage networking.
